We talked about the questions. You turned them in, or will turn in the completed questions tomorrow.
We chatted briefly about the Gilgamesh Project (click here)
You worked in groups to figure out the order of events in Gilgamesh.
I completely forgot to talk about your vocab, or to return it, so tomorrow will be a practice exam on poetic devices.

If you have not been able to play your myth, this password is for you!
You need to use this link.
I returned your rough drafts with lots of feedback.
No second person: YOU
Do not use VERY, REALLY, COOL, NEAT, DIFFERENT, INTERESTING, BAD, GOOD, NICE
Instead, find a word that describes it better!
Instead of clichés, (for example: the news was not going to be good / a sinking feeling / butterflies in the stomach)
describe what it feels like to you.
We worked in the lab today on the Creation Myth Project.
HW - MLA draft, along with all pre-writes, edits, and rough draft, is due next Wednesday.
Your project (Wednesday's post) is due Thursday, next week.
You defined realism, naturalism, abstraction, non-representational, and idealism.
(these terms will show up in both literature and art, by the by)
We remembered what advantage literature has over art (according to Lessing)--
Art captures a moment, while literature can move across time.
We got the project instructions (READ THEM - or you will miss the requirements or the point)
We worked in the computer lab, finding the creation myths of various folk.
Remember, Wikipedia is NOT a scholarly website. Do not site this as a source!
Japan, Hawaii, and others, I should have access to your myths by tomorrow!
HW - Read 7-8.5 and page 15 (reading is in Tuesday's post)
