You annotated, paying special attention to poetry devices, since you have a vocab test on Friday.
You then wrote a 3-chunk paragraph comparing the view of immortality expressed in these poems:
(think - what remains of these people? feel free to relate to Gilgamesh)
HW - take your topic and use it to make a thesis statement
if you want to use your outside source, get approval.
Socratic Seminar - you took notes on the discussion.
Homework: DO THIS
Remember, you must email your topic/theme choice to me before clas tomorrow, along with a poem, song, artwork, or other literature that connects thematically with "The Epic of Gilgamesh"
CD Quiz 6 & 7
Take 10 minutes to annotate and ask questions in response to the assigned chapters
HW - be ready for tomorrow
We took a practice quiz, and now you know what it will be like next Friday.
You had an opportunity to meet the requirements of the assignment, and get your points. My hope for you was that by seeing how other people do it, and seeing examples of choices that were correct, you would learn something.
HW - Read Chapter 6 and 7 in "The Epic of Gilgamesh"
